Using the same ID and password, you can (re)install the BOINC software on several computers.

 You would like to allow your company, institution, organization to participate to the project sponsored by Decrypthon? Thanks for your commitment, it makes your participation all the more valuable. Here are a few documents that will give an IT administrator some useful advices.

Install Help and Known Problems :

You experience difficulties installing the BOINC client or you have a technical problem? Ressources below may help you.
Note: The project URL that supports the HCMD2 project is "www.worldcommunitygrid.org" 

  • You can find categorized help on this page.
  • If you have a more specific question, you can check it has not already been answered on one of the World Community Grid Forums dedicated either to the BOINC software of the HCMD2 project (Alessandra Carbone answers questions there)
  • If you are registered on Facebook, you can join the Decrypthon group and ask your question.
  • Eventually you can directly ask you question via the contact page of this site.

Check that you are calculating for Help Cure Muscular Dystrophy - Phase 2 :

First off, you should check that you are registered in the "World Community Grid" project that makes the HCMD2 project run:
  • double click on the "Boinc manager" icon in the tray icons (down right in Windows XP/Vista)
  • check that the World Community Grid icon is in the "my project" section. If not:
  • click on the "add project" button,
  • click "next"
  • fill the URL with "www.worldcommunitygrid.org"
  • log in with your ID and password (those you chose on decrypthon.fr are the same for worldcommunitygrid.org)

Once you are attached to the World Community Grid, you are given the choice of 9 scientific projects among them is Help Cure Muscular Dystrophy - Phase 2. To check you are computing for it:
  • go on https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/ms/viewMyProjects.do
  • check the box in front of  "Help Cure Muscular Dystrophy - Phase 2"

After a few hours, check that you calculation has progressed:
  • double click on the "Boinc manager" icon in the tray icons (down right in Windows XP/Vista)
  • check that the "World Community Grid" section contains a photo of the HCMD2 project, the enlapsed time, the remaining time and a loading bar along with a percentage for the accomplished work.

If you do not see any acomplished work,
  • double click on the "Boinc manager" icon in the tray icons (down right in Windows XP/Vista)
  • click on "preferences" and checks that your preferences does not prevent you from calculating ("e.g. "work after XX min. idle" if this machine is never idle, etc...) More extensive options are available by clicking on the "Advanced view" button.
